McCully's
Hill farm is a family business involving the fourth, fifth
and sixth generations of family members who have lived on
the farm. We think that Norman McCully, third generation
farmer and inductee of the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame,
would be happy to know that the tradition of natural foods
and family fun continues on the farm settled by his
ancestors.

OUR HISTORY
After
immigrating from Ireland, the McCully family settled near St. Marys
in 1847. These early McCullys cleared land for crops and produced
maple sugar, since cane sugar was difficult to obtain.
Thanks
to the livestock improvement efforts of our late family patriarch,
Norman McCully, McCully's Hill Farm has been home to some Canada's
finest livestock, including Suffolk sheep, Holstein cattle, Black
Angus cattle, Tamworth pigs, Clydesdale and Belgian horses, Sicilian
miniature donkeys to name a few.
Now a member of the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame, Grandpa
McCully also devoted a great deal of time to soil conservation, tree
planting and education of rural youth.
Several
generations of McCullys have been, and are involved in teaching
primary to University level programs, as well as conducting
agricultural and botanical research. We are proud to be continuing
the McCully teaching tradition in the form of agricultural and
environmental programs at the farm.
